Little challenges build clever minds. Problem-solving play encourages children to look at something, work out what might happen, try an idea and, when it doesn’t quite work, have another go.

From puzzles, shape sorters and spatial challenges to pattern activities, mazes and hands-on problems to solve, these toys encourage children to experiment and discover solutions for themselves. Along the way, they can develop critical thinking, spatial awareness, concentration, persistence and confidence.

Because that little “I did it!” moment is about much more than finding the answer. It’s discovering they can work it out for themselves.
