Collections: Loose Parts Play

Loose parts can be anything from collecting stones, shells, leaves, and sticks to gems, crystals, play coins, wooden tokens, coloured balls or felt fruits! Really it's anything small, collectable that they will make their own play patterns with. 

And why is this important?  

Simply put, it helps your child develop their creative and critical thinking skills. They use their imagination to form new ideas, experiment with objects, and have no play boundaries.  

Plus, in addition to creativity and critical thinking, they are strengthening fine motor skills, counting skills, colour recognition, shape recognition, imagination, curiosity, focus, cognitive skills and problem-solving… and they’re fantastic for quiet play!
