Collection: Reading & Storytelling

A good story can take children somewhere entirely new without them ever leaving the room. Reading introduces little minds to new words, ideas, characters and places, while storytelling gives them the confidence to imagine what might happen next and create stories of their own.

Whether they’re listening to a favourite book for the hundredth time, exploring an interactive story, making up adventures from the pictures or beginning to read independently, books can help develop language, vocabulary, concentration, memory and communication skills. They can also build empathy and understanding by giving children a glimpse into experiences and perspectives beyond their own.

Most importantly, reading together can simply be a lovely part of the day. Because before reading becomes something they learn to do, stories can become something they love.
