Collections: Imaginative Play

Imaginative play (make-believe, pretend play, role play) whatever you call it is a valuable form of play. 

It helps children in attaining, improving or developing numerous skills, such as language and social skills, memory, problem-solving, creativity and intellectual development.

Imaginative play can be (but is not limited to):

• Cooking/preparing food
• Cleaning
• Character play (i.e dolls, superheroes, cars or objects that interact)
• pretend schools, work events etc
• Fairies, Unicorns, Dragons, Dinosaurs, Monsters etc
• Play imitating real life

Basically, anything your child can imagine and act, interact or reiterate is imaginative play.
