Create your own collection of Safari animals with a Baby Hippopotamus, made with great detail to resemble the real-life animal.
Hippos are large, heavy herbivores that live near rivers and lakes in Africa. Calves are often born in the water and can even be suckled underwater.
At birth, the hippopotamus calves already have strong legs, just like the ones from Schleich® Wild Life, and can walk soon after being born. After a couple of weeks, the impressive, tusk-like canine teeth of these mammals start to grow.
Fun Fact: Hippos can’t swim well, but they spend almost their entire life in the water.
